~ Children's Sunday School and Adult Bible Study at 9:15 am ~

The Adult Bible Study group are starting a new Bible Study on Sunday.                                                                                    

                                                                               

***LWML - The ladies are collecting items for the Indy East - West Zone Rally In gathering that will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at St. John Lutheran Church. Please see the enclosed flyer for the    needed items. A box for donations is located on the round table in    the Narthex. Thank you for your help.                                                                             

***SHOP WITH A COP - Christmas. There will be a free will offering for Hendricks County Shop with a Cop on Sunday's October 28th    and November 4th. Please keep this program in your prayers..

 ***New Preschool year for 2018-2019 has started please keep our Preschool Staff and children in your prayers.

CALLING ALL SINGERS!!! Do you have a voice to sing, and a heart to lead in worship? Join the Worship Choir! It is a low pressure but fulfilling way to praise God and encourage others to do the same.    We are starting the new choir season now and rehearse most            Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. Give it a try! See Nathan or any choir          singer.                                                                                                       

*** GOLDEN GIRLS ~   The Golden Girls next meeting is Wednesday, November 7th at 1:30 pm in the Church Library. They will be meeting on the 1st   and 3rd Wednesday of the month. The ladies have started a new Bible Study,    "The God of All Comfort" by Donna Pyle.                                                                                                                     

*** YOUTH GROUP ~ Meets on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Wednesdays of the month.  Please join us and bring a friend!

 

*** PEW SISTERS ~ Bible Study at 6:30 pm. We meet at church every second Monday of each month so feel free to join us!

 

*** GREETER SIGN-UP ~ The sign-up sheet has been posted for    November, December. Please see the bulletin board to sign up. Thank you!

 

*** TECH TEAM NEWS ~ There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board to assist with taping on Sunday mornings.
 

*** CHURCH INVENTORY TEAM ~ Our inventory project has hit a stumbling point, so we will have set dates to meet during the summer to move on with this major project. Watch for more details to come.

 

*** PRAYER LIST UPDATE ~ As you have noticed, we have a large number of people on the prayer list, especially those with health issues.  Please take a look at the list and provide an update to Pastor if their status had changed.  Thank You!

 

*** The Men’s “Breakfast Club” Bible Study ~  Saturday mornings at 7 am.  Join us!   

    


                                                                                                                                                        

***CELC Polo Shirts: We will be placing another order this month for CELC logo polo shirts. We have changed brands to Port           Authority Silk Touch Performance Polo. Color choices are Black,   Bright Purple, Brilliant Blue, Carolina Blue and Maroon. Check out color choice and sizes and place your order on the sign-up sheet   on the bulletin board. Shirts are $20 and will be due upon receipt.   If  you have questions, please see Renae Clark.                                                                    

*** The next Outreach meeting is on Thursday, November 15, 2018    at 6:00 pm.                                                                                                          

*** Benefiting Project Homeless Dinner Meal on Saturday,                   November 17, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. at St. Mark's                   Episcopal Church, 7l0 E. Buchanan St. Plainfield, In.                          

                    

*** We will be holding our second Trunk or Treat this Thursday, October 25th.The Chili dinner will be from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Trunk or Treat will be from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Please be sure to sign up to bring candy, and decorate your Trunk for the Treats, and don't forget to bring your Chili to serve..                                                   

 

***Project Homeless - is right around the corner. We are going to        start again with the Hygiene bags and donations. Our Collection      Drive is going to start on Sunday, November 11th and run for 4          weeks. Our  deadline is Sunday, December 9th. This will give us a    week to gather any missing items, and get them delivered to              friends at Project Homeless in time for Christmas.                            

                     

***The BHS Madrigals are coming back to CELC again! Please mark your calendars to join us for some great music on December 3rd at 7:00 pm.                                                                                                      

                                                                          

***In December Outreach will be working on Cheer Baskets for the member of Christ Lutheran Church who need a little bit of extra        cheering this holiday season. We will begin collecting for these         baskets as well in November More information to follow on this         soon.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

***Ladies Day Out will be happening again next spring, on Saturday, March 16th. We will be sharing more details as they come.     

   

***2019 Car Show - Outreach decided to move the Car Show one      week out. So we will be holding our 3rd Annual Car Show on            Saturday, July 13th. So it would not compete with the                         Independence Day weekend.                                                                                                                                                                

***Congregation Servant Opportunities.                                                

Do you or a loved one need some help with something this season?  Lawn Care, Grocery Shopping, Rides to/from Medical Appointments, etc?  If so, please contact your deacon or Bob Abernathy. 

 

 ***Joyful Response ~ is an electronic offering transfer service for members of our congregation.  Reduce time, cost and effort associated with check writing by having your weekly contribution electronically gifted to the church.  Special Offering Notices still provide you with a unique way to place your offering in the collection plate each week.  Consider fulfilling your stewardship commitment through this easy program.
